SEPANG: A farmer and a burger seller were charged in the Sessions Court here today with terrorism-related offences, allegedly committed last year.

They are Muhamad Nuurul Amin Azizan and Muhammad Syazani Mahzan, both aged 27, who were alleged to have gone to Indonesia to carry out the terrorist acts.

Both of them nodded when the charges were read out to them before judge Mohd Sabri Othman, but no plea was recorded.

The two men, from Sungai Petani, Kedah, were alleged to have entered Jogjakarta, through Jakarta, in Indonesia, to carry out terrorism-related acts.

They were charged with committing the offence at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (Klia2) at 6.55am on April 26 last year.

In another court, before judge Saifulakmal Mod Said, a restaurant worker, Hafiz Othman, 42, was also charged with a similar offence by going to Sinai, in Egypt.
