When Protesters Turn on Police

"On April 27th 2015 Bexley Collins assigned to Mondawmin Mall.

Collins says, "One of my first comments was, 'Are we gearing up today.'"

The majority of officers showed up to the mall wearing only helmets.

We later found many of the helmets assigned to officers were missing padding and may not have been worn since the riots that broke out in Baltimore in 1968.

Collins was struck multiple times with bricks thrown by angry teens.

A brick hit Collins in the shin, shoulder, and head.

Collins says,

    ...It knocked me backwards and I slammed my head on the pavement and i was knocked unconscious."
