It’s the Chicken watching the Fox when it comes to the Obama administrations negotiations with IRAN
By Henry Morgenstern- Homeland Security Network.
Yesterday’s speech by Benjamin Netanyahu served to reinforce what we all know – Iran cannot be trusted. Netanyahu’s insistence that they need the deal more than the US does and that the US should leave the table until they comply. That just like in a Persian Bazaar if you walk out of the store while haggling you will get a better deal ( Iranians/Persians invented haggling in their bazaars) and all who have been to the Middle East know this but no-one in Washington seems to, least of all the woman entrusted with these most dangerous talks.
We have not asked if we can trust our own US administrators with such a perilous negotiation that could lead to a Global war if botched. Put aside the legacy issue of a lame duck President, trying with all his power to circumvent the big majority his opponents got in the Senate and Congress. Put aside the ambitions of a lame Secretary of State hungry for almost anything that looks like an achievement while the world burns under his watch.
Did you know that the same person that conducted the talks with North Korea on their nuclear program, the 4th highest person in the Department of State, Wendy Sherman, is the one and the same that is now negotiating as to whether the terrorist state of Iran gets the bomb. Read a little about Wendy from her Wikipedia entry and then think how well the negotiations with North Korea went. They now have more than 100 bombs and plenty of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles to deliver to the US in the event they feel apocalyptic.
“Wendy Ruth Sherman (born 1949) is Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, the fourth-ranking official in the U.S. Department of State. She has formerly worked as a social worker, the director of EMILY's list, the director of Maryland's office of child welfare, and the founding president of the Fannie Mae Foundation. During the Clinton Administration, she served as Counselor of the United States Department of State and Special Advisor to the President and Secretary of State and North Korea Policy Coordinator. In the latter role, she was instrumental in negotiations related to North Korea's nuclear weapon and ballistic missile programs.”
Sherman is a former social worker – nothing wrong with that but a Negotiator? And how is she politically? Her jobs were in partisan Democratic politics and social work: director of Emily’s List providing pro-choice, female, Democratic candidates with funding. Then she worked for Fannie Mae and finally worked with Barbara Mikulski as a campaign manager and chief of staff. She then rose in the ranks dealing with Children and fostering issues before rising in the ranks of the Clintonites. Great social, leftist background in Children’s affairs.
For the Iranians in contrast, we have Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif know in the past to shout at Kerry. And then you have his Masters, Iranian hard-liners who say that the stroll he took with Kerry was a grave mistake and that it damaged Iran's authority. Hard-liners are also irked over a short trip Zarif took to Paris last week to meet his French counterpart, Laurent Fabius, to narrow the differences over Tehran's nuclear activities.
But our Chicky in the Hen House is charged with overseeing these negotiations until Kerry comes in to sign the deal with Iranian Foxes. The very same lady that did so well with the North Koreans. Is it any wonder Netanyahu is worried about us caving and striking a perilously bad deal?
